Appellant, PetitionerPartialThe wife's appeal was allowed in part. She was granted a larger share of the matrimonial assets. The husband was ordered to pay the wife $464,600 in cash immediately with interest at the rate of 2% per annum from 17 October 2003 till the date when the wife exercised the option, if at all, or the option lapsed, whichever was earlier. Thereafter, the interest was to be at the rate of 4% per annum. The wife was allowed to set off whatever she was to pay to the husband for his interest in the matrimonial flat against whatever he was to pay her. The currency is assumed to be SGD, the currency of the jurisdiction.
